Hitwise has just released the latest figures on search market share…and Google continues to gain popularity. According to the figures, Google now accounts for a record 66 percent share of web searches in the United States, which is up 7 percent from last year!

Ask (formerly Ask Jeeves), continues to slowly build up some momentum, with an increase from 3.7 percent to a little over 4 percent.
