According to the figures, Google now accounts for a record 66 percent share of web searches in the United States, which is up 7 percent from last year!

Google’s gain means a loss for the second and third place engines, as Yahoo dropped from 21.6 percent to 20.9 percent while Microsoft has seen a drop from 9.8 percent to a little over 7 percent.

Ask (formerly Ask Jeeves), continues to slowly build up some momentum, with an increase from 3.7 percent to a little over 4 percent.
