7 Dental Sites Giving Free Publicity To Your Practice... The greatest thing about publicity that I have learned in the past decade came from a little site called MySpace.com. You might have heard of it. MySpace has been providing an avalanche of free publicity for businesses that have been savvy enough to take advantage of it. Yet, we now see that even MySpace is losing some of its mass appeal as fickle web surfers are now turning more to video sharing sites like YouTube.com. Since both of these websites started out as small, little known social sites and turned into the juggernauts that they are today, we have to wonder; "what are the little known sites of today that could be the dental industry juggernauts of tomorrow?"
We decided to do a little research and see what a few hours of searching could bring up. Based on this research we have put together a list of 7 dental sites that you can submit to for free to help boost your web publicity. For dental marketing clients of ours like Dr. Kelly B. Wettstein of Impressions Dental in Chandler Arizona, we have already taken the time to submit their company profile to these sites so that they may receive their free listings and exposure.

DentalArticles.com http://www.dentalarticles.com/directory/ To submit your site, first choose a country. Next choose a state or province. Then click the "Add URL to state/province" link. Follow the "Submission Guidelines" and provide all required information. It took about 10 days for the Impressions Dental listing to show up. TheDentalWeb.org
http://www.thedentalweb.org/modules.php?name=Web_Links You will need to register for a free account to submit your website to thedentalweb.org. After you have created a free account, go to the "Web Links" link in the upper section of the left side navigation. Then click the "Add Link" link located right under the "Web Links" header in the upper left area of the page. (hint: it is to the right of the "Web Links" link from before) Follow the "Instructions" and provide all required information. Most dental businesses will choose one of the "Healthcare" categories to be listed in. It only took 2 days for the Impressions Dental listing to show up. OnlineDentalDirectory.org

http://www.geodentist.com You will need to register for a free account to submit your website to geodentist.com. Once you have logged into your free account, go to either the main "Dentists" category link or the main "Cosmetic Dentists" category link in the upper section of the left side navigation. Navigate to the state and city that is most appropriate to your business. Once there click on the "Add a Listing" link in the upper right of the page, just under the blue search box. Once you are on the "Add a Listing" page, provide all the required information. Note: There is a $25 payment option available to those who want to upgrade to a premium listing. We suggest taking advantage of their free listing option for now as we will be evaluating their premium listing option at a later date and we will let you know what we find. It took about 4 days for the Impressions Dental listing to show up. DentistZone.com

http://www.dentistfinders.net DentistFinders.net has several different listing options ranging from $49.00 per year (Platinum) to completely free (Bronze). We suggest taking advantage of their free (Bronze) listing option for now as we usually do not recommend participating in link exchange programs like their Gold and Silver listings, and as with GeoDentist.com we will be evaluating their Platinum listing option at a later date and will let you know what we find. To get listed go to the Add Dentist page and click the "Suggest URL" button for the Bronze listing. Then Select your State, County, City and Zip Code. Then input your business address. Once you have verified your location on the map, click the "Next" button.
Once you are on the next page, you will be asked for required business, service and contact information. You will want to provide as complete and as accurate of information as you can. It only took about 1 day for the Impressions Dental listing to show up. Hometown Dentists is a website that is in beta mode that is currently accepting submissions that will be used in developing a guide for patients looking for local dentists. It is in the early stages and will offer many benefits to dentists and consumers once it is fully launched.
